Floyd Medal
VelaJet Force Gemini, in my opinion, is one of the very best games made for the Nintendo 64. Made by Rare, this game combines outstanding graphics to a great story to compile a space shooter. The story is, you are Juno. You and your sister, Vela and your dog, Lupus have to save the Tribal planet Goldwood from a huge bug army. The creator of this army is Mizar, a giant robot. Tribals are little bears that you have to rescue in each stage. If the Tribals are killed by the bugs, you don't get any points. The point of the game is to capture every Tribal in every stage. The stages are really long and complicated. Some places on a planet you can't reach until you get another character. Then you go back and complete it. For example, Lupus is the only person that can hover. In Goldwood, there is a canyon you cannot cross until you have Lupus
Juno
You start the game with Juno. After you complete Goldwood, the next level is where Vela is. She will start another quest on another planet. She will eventually find Lupus. The three will have to complete three planets each and all end up at Mizar's palace to compete against him. There are also hidden areas. The game isn't just about saving the Tribals and completing the level. You also have to destroy the drone army. This is the reason why the game is rated T for Teen. You get a huge arsenal of guns like the Machine Gun, the Flamethrower, and the Cluster Bombs. You blow the ants up into a huge puddle of green muck. Sometimes, their head will fly off. If you collect a certain number of heads, something cool may happen. Sometimes, you have to destroy all of the ants in a room to open a door to the next room. Sometimes you need a key. Sometimes you need a certain character. Most of the time the door will just open by itself. Each character has a different ability, like Lupus's hovering. Juno can walk on fire and Vela can swim underwater. The game also has a multiplayer option. If you find a secret in a level, called a Totem, you will unlock a character in multiplayer. There is battle, target range, and later in the game, racing. If you find a secret robot in the game, named Floyd, you will unlock co-op mode. This is where 2 people can play the game, 1 as Juno, Vela, or Lupus, and 1 playing Floyd. Floyd can also play special mini-games.
Lupus
I think Jet Force Gemini is a great game. If you like shooters or adventures, this game is for you. You also figure out puzzles and find hidden items. I highly recommend this game, so go out and buy it for some bug-blasting action!
